As Co-Owner and Digital Media Specialist at Genesis Group, Kari Aho brings our projects—and the stories behind them—to life. Through photography and video, she captures the craftsmanship, creativity, and transformation that go into each project and turns those moments into engaging content for Genesis Group’s social media platforms.

Before officially joining Genesis Group in 2024, Kari spent 28 years in clinical social work, serving in several local and national healthcare systems as a clinical social worker, case manager, team lead, and manager. Throughout her career, she developed a passion for connecting with people, listening to their stories, simplifying complex situations, and bringing a calm, thoughtful approach to challenging circumstances.

Today, Kari brings those same people-centered skills to the creative side of Genesis Group. She combines decades of experience in communication and human services with her eye for photography, video, and storytelling to showcase the people, projects, and craftsmanship that make Genesis Group unique. She especially enjoys connecting with customers and sharing their outdoor living transformations in ways that inspire both past and future clients.

Kari has called Colorado Springs home since 2006, although she says her heart has always belonged in the mountains. After nearly three decades in social work, she was ready for a new chapter and has enjoyed tapping into the more creative side of her brain as part of the Genesis Group team.

Kari and Barry have been married since 2009 and have four children. Outside of work, they enjoy traveling, hiking, boating, spending time with friends and extended family, and being involved with their local church.
